OLYMPICS

SOCCER

The U.S. Women’s National Team may boycott the Olympics if they don’t feel that pay negotiations are progressing sufficiently.  Read more and watch an interview of USWNT’s Becky Sauerbrunn here.

SWIMMING

Australia’s Cate Campbell has announced that she has injured herself…napping.  That’s right, she said, “I’m an aggressive napper.”  Read this entertaining story here.

GOLF

The golf gold medalists of this year’s Olympics will also earn an exempt status into the 2017 majors championships!  Learn more about the golf in the Olympics here.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

The 2016 Africa Mountain Bike Championships just wrapped in South Africa.  Rwanda’s Nathan Byukusenge was the champion, proving again that he’s one of the best on the continent.  Look for him to represent one of the Olympics newest sports this year.

CELEBRATION PAVILIONS

The first country pavilion has been unveiled for the Rio Olympics games.
