Sports Around the World: 11/30-12/4

Here’s this week’s update on sports around the world

Lobster Diving

Hey, Lobster Diving is a sport to many…or at least some, including this guy and his awesome dog!

Olympics

Basketball

Kobe is retiring from the NBA but still wants to join Team USA in Rio…and even though Kobe has skipped all “mandatory” training camps the USA basketball chairman thinks he is “entitled to an opportunity”.  What?

Track & Field

Tourist tip: Summer is a great time of year to visit the Pacific Northwest, and this next summer you can catch the USA Track & Field Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon.  Don’t plan on attending Russia’s Track & Field Trials though, since they are facing a year long ban from international competition, which includes the 2016 Summer games!

We will have to wait and see whether or not Russian Athletes will compete as independent athletes under the Olympic flag.

Gymnastics

If your Olympic dreams involve gymnastics, Australia’s Jednorog Gymnastics Academy is where you want to go for training!  Their school just won 30 medals at the Gymnastics WA Foundation Finale and Club Levels Championship!  That’s a lot of bling!

Formula E Racing

You won’t see driver fights in Formula E because these vehicles are driverless!  But you will see where cars get  power boosts based on audience votes.
